EASING ANXIETY WITH NATURAL REMEDIES AND MINDFULNESS

This week, I’d like to use this blog to discuss some powerful ways we can ease anxiety and create more calm in our lives. Right now, more than ever, it’s necessary that we prioritise our mental health and emotional wellbeing. Hopefully you caught last week’s blog where I shared a meditation that helps us to remove anxiety for a period of time and allow ourselves space and peace while we find solutions to our problems. 

This week, let’s focus on eliminating anxiety long term.

First and foremost I always recommend non-negotiable meditation on a daily basis. I recommend looking up the work of Dr. Joe Dispenza who teaches transformational meditation. I also recommend scheduling your meditation daily and preferably in the morning so that it is a priority and not left until the last minute or forgotten.

Next, switch off the news. I know it can be challenging at the moment, but the news is not good for our mental health. Just like social media, constantly being exposed to different sources of information most of which is not positive, can take its toll. Switch off the news this weekend and focus on what makes you happy. 

Sun – Vitamin D is crucial for mental and physical health. Our emotional health is influenced by how much sunlight we get, working from home and lockdowns keeping us indoors means less sun all-round. Sunlight can boost your mood and help increase your vitamin D. Get some sun this weekend. 

Water. Drinking water keeps everything moving and flushes out toxins. Constipation is very uncomfortable and not good for the body, and can cause further issues and no one likes that feeling! Drink plenty of water to keep your body healthy.

Watch some comedies! Watching a comedy movie or a stand-up comedian on YouTube is such a fun way to boost your mood. Finding time to have a laugh is so important, let’s bring some more fun and joy into our day – laughter is truly transformative.
