AS A PREPARATION FOR LABOUR

Onset of labour - Aconite 6c

TO ASSIST WITH LABOUR AND SHORTEN ITS DURATION - Pains sharp and rapid, with anxiety, restlessness– Aconite 6c

To reduce bruising, bleeding – Arnica 6c 

For easing of labour, and to improve uterine muscle tone – Caulophyllum 6c

Foetus positioned poorly and seeking comfort – Pulsatilla 200c

For Fear of labour – Aconite 6c 

Feeling tearful and distressed about labour – Pulsatilla 6c 

A general regulator when labour commences, in the absence of usual symptoms, and to increase the strength of the contractions – Pulsatilla 6c

FALSE LABOUR PAINS
Irregular, feeble, tormenting pains, with backache, weakness and internal trembling – Caulophyllum 6c

Oversensitive to pain, or suffering out of proportion to pain, restless and greatly anguished. Irritable with pain, cannot bear it – Chamomilla 6c

Slow labour, tearful with distress and suffocation at each contraction, craving for fresh air - Pulsatilla 6c

Labour protracted, with indefinite pains at long intervals, running to exhaustion – Caulophyllum 6c

Stitching pains in the uterus with each contraction, impeding progress, often with backache, weariness and faintness – Sepia 6c

RELIEF AND COMFORT AFTER LABOUR
As an antiseptic application to the vagina after birth, and for pain or tearing.   Also for use on wound after cesarean birth.  To help with healing and repair of any nerve damage - Hypericum & Calendula tinctures combined for external use (HyperCal)

Sharp, shooting pain after laceration, episiotomy or caesarean – Hypericum 6c

For shock and excitement following labour, cannot sleep or pass urine – Aconite 6c
