Garlic is used in traditional herbal medicine, including Western, Chinese and Ayurveda, for the symptomatic relief of upper respiratory tract infections and catarrhal conditions and viruses.
The allicin present in garlic relaxes the blood vessels. It also fights against thrombosis by reducing platelet aggregation.
Garlic contains useful minerals such as phosphorus, calcium, and iron, as well as trace minerals like iodine, sulfur, and chlorine, which are also present in the cloves.
Precautions
Not for use during pregnancy or lactation. If you have a medical condition or take pharmaceutical drugs please consult your doctor prior to use.
- Garlic should be used with caution in patients taking antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs for doses 3 g or greater of fresh garlic per day unless under close supervision.
- Caution is advised for patients taking HIV protease inhibitors such as saquinavir.
- Not to be used in children under two years of age without medical advice.
- Garlic intake should be discontinued 10 days before surgery.
1ml + 1000mg of dry herb
Adult Dose: 5drops once to four times daily.
