Omega-3 is a popular supplement at www.herbsonelineshop.combecause of its versatile benefits. An essential fatty acid, Omega-3 (also known as omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid) is used in the body to lower the heart rate and improve blood vessel function, therefore reducing the risks of blood clotting. Omega-3’s work to cut down the amount of fat stored in the blood, by doing this they also work to reduce inflammation in the body.

As a preventative to cardiovascular disease, omega-3 helps to improve blood flow and has been used as a treatment for rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes.

Omega-3’s can be found by the bucket-full in foods like salmon, nuts, olive oil, linseeds, cod liver oil, herring, oysters, flaxseeds and chia seeds.
